ה-CX5130 מצויד במעבד רב-ליבתי Intel Atom® בתדר שעון של 1.75 GHz. כך מתאפשרת טכנולוגיה אמיתית של ריבוי ליבות בתחום המחשבים המשובצים. ממשקי החומרה בסדרה זו מכוונים ומיושמים באופן זהה לאלה של סדרת CX5000 הקיימת. זמינים שני ממשקי Ethernet עצמאיים התומכים ב-Gigabit, וכן ארבעה ממשקי USB 2.0 וממשק DVI-I. מגוון רחב של אפשרויות חיבור נוספות ופונקציות שער מתאפשר באמצעות ממשק אופציונלי, שניתן להתקין מראש במפעל, וכן באמצעות רמת ה-I/O, שיכולה לכלול באופן אופציונלי מסופי E-bus או K-bus.
