ה-ROBA®-multiswitch מיועד להפעלה במתח כניסה שבין 100 ל-500 VAC, בהתאם לגודל. לאחר ההפעלה, הוא מוציא את מתח הגשר המיושר למשך 50 אלפיות השנייה ולאחר מכן מכוון את עצמו אוטומטית למתח עירור-יתר שתוכנת מראש. לאחר סיום זמן עירור-היתר, הוא מווסת למתח ההחזקה שתוכנת באופן קבוע. עבור ערכי מתח עירור-היתר ומתח ההחזקה של הדגם הסטנדרטי. בדגמים מיוחדים ייתכנו ערכים שונים. ניתן לכוונן את זמן עירור-היתר באמצעות מתג DIP ל-150 אלפיות השנייה, 450 אלפיות השנייה, 1 שנייה, 1.5 שניות ו-2 שניות.
