X20 CP 1583はエントリーレベルのAtomベースX20コントローラです。最小のコントローラでも128 MBのDDR2 SDRAMを搭載しています。最適な価格/性能比で、すべての大型コントローラと同じ機能を備えています。
USB、Ethernet、POWERLINK、および取り外し可能なCompactFlashが標準機能としてすべて含まれています。標準のEthernetインターフェースはギガビット帯域の通信を処理できます。さらにリアルタイムネットワーク性能を高めるために、オンボードのPOWERLINKインターフェースはポールレスポンスチェイニングモード（PRC）をサポートしています。
コントローラにはX20通信モジュール用のスロットが1つ装備されています。通信モジュールを使用することで、さまざまなバスおよびネットワークシステムをX20システムに簡単に統合できます。
