DECserver 90TL, 57,6Kbps'ye kadar hızlarda çalışan sekiz portlu çoklu oturum terminal sunucusudur ve Basit Ağ Yönetimi veya Bakım Operasyonları Protokolleri ile yönetilebilir. Geliştirmeler arasında, protokollerin karışımını kullanarak 64 farklı oturuma erişim yeteneği ve öncelikli hizmetlere bağlantıları hızlandırmak için tercih edilen hizmet özelliği bulunur. DECserver 700 ailesiyle de kullanılan ve aşağıdan yüklenen yazılım ile yükseltilebilir bellek kapasitesi, yükseltilebilirlik sağlar; SLIP kullanımı ise ürünü seri hatlara bağlı kişisel bilgisayarlar için statik bir İnternet Protokolü uç düğüm yönlendiricisi olarak kullanılabilir hale getirir.
