FTDI USB'den RS485 Seri UART Dönüştürücü Kablosu, tüm USB sinyalleme ve protokollerini yöneten FTDI'nin FT232RQ USB'den seri UART arayüz IC'sini içerir. Bu FTDI dönüştürücü kablo, RS485 arayüzüne sahip cihazları USB'ye bağlamak için hızlı ve basit bir yol sağlar. Her FTDI USB-RS485 kablosu, kablonun USB konnektör ucuna kapsüllenmiş FT232R kullanan küçük bir dahili elektronik devre kartı içerir. Entegre elektronikler ayrıca RS485 alıcı-verici ve kablodaki trafiği görsel olarak gösteren Tx ve Rx LED'lerini içerir.
